Meet Bridget. Bridget became her own hero when she could no longer go to school as her mother did not have money for fees. Many girls in Uganda face barriers that keep them from attaining an education. These can include child marriage, early pregnancies, heavy burdens of household responsibilities such as caring for younger siblings and chores. Investment is needed in order to get these children into school where they will be safe and forging a path out of poverty to make positive contributions to their communities in the near future.
